Additional Description: Remarkably well-preserved Oldsmobile Deluxe. It spent the first 25 years in Kansas City when it was passed down to the owners son. In 1976 it was fully restored by a longtime member of the National Oldsmobile Club and it was changed form the original Dove Gray to Otsego Blue with a Serge Blue top. That 44 year old restoration is showing minimal cosmetic wear. The chrome, stainless, seats, headliner, steering wheel and dash look outstanding. Same for the carpets, door panels and window moldings. The gentleman we purchased it from rebuilt the carb, tuned it up and installed whitewall radials. Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1951 Oldsmobile NINETY-EIGHT recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners.
