Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1967 Chevrolet CAMARO recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. The problems are organized into groups with data published by vehicle, component, and specific issue. See also an updated list of 1967 Chevrolet CAMARO problems before buying a used car. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.

Additional Description: Here's an unusual find: a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS that's an original RS! So many of these cars are "upgraded" to SS specifications during restorations that it's almost impossible to keep track of them, so when an honest, nicely finished Rally Sport shows up wearing correct badges and a beautiful restoration, we sit up and take notice. We also have great documentation showing this car was owned by famous guitarist Billy Davis of Foghat that really adds to the cool factor! Given that the cowl tag says this car was originally code G Granada Gold with a code 711 Gold vinyl interior, I think it's safe to say changing the colors on this one would be a bad idea. You just don't see these unusual colors these days and even though most guys want a blue or black or orange one, this is a car that will stand out at shows. Add in the black nose stripe and matching vinyl top, it's an elegant and unusual color combination that won't go out of style. Fortunately, it has been applied over some straight bodywork, so rework is not in this car's immediate future. The blacked-out RS grille includes hidden headlamps that are fully functional, and it has a period-correct look that's as aggressive as the rumbling small block under the hood. All the stainless trim has been polished up as well, including the wheel well trim and window surrounds, and it wears correct 'rs' badges on the front fenders and grille. You've also probably noticed the luggage rack with NOS ski attachment as well. The vinyl top was replaced during the repaint and looks great, with the correct grain and no signs of the usual issues underneath. And the trunk rack is just plain cool. The interior uses Gold Strato buckets with cream stripes, an OEM combination that matches the exterior perfectly and is a definitely a nice change from the same old black interior everyone else uses. Restored several years ago, it's holding up nicely thanks to quality materials and superior workmanship, as well as careful use since it was finished. Almost all the soft parts are new, including carpets, door panels, and headliner, and it's all in excellent condition today showing only minimal signs of use. It also offers a correct Rally Sport steering wheel, a console with an easy-to-grab shifter for the PowerGlide, and unusual factory power windows. The original AM/FM radio is still in the dash where it belongs, along with the too-cool clock down on the console. The trunk is lined with a nice-fitting reproduction mat plus a correct bias-ply spare with jack assembly. Power comes from a great-running 283 cubic inch small block, so you can ignore the 327 decal on the chrome air cleaner, which was simply installed to make it look right. You won't miss those extra cubes, as this 283 runs great and pulls the lightweight coupe around with enthusiasm. The engine bay is highly detailed, with the engine wearing a correct coat of Chevy Orange paint and it's nice to see that they didn't go overboard with aftermarket stuff. Underneath it's solid and presentable, with a PowerGlide automatic transmission and a 10-bolt out back, and as a warm climate car, the floors are in good order. Those cast iron exhaust manifolds dump into a dual exhaust system using a proper transverse muffler and it sits on 14-inch Rally wheels with reproduction E70-14 Firestone redline tires. Documentation includes the original Protect-O-Plate, owner's manual, and a reproduction window sticker. The car is a previous AACA Senior Grand National winner so you know the restoration was done right. Add in that it's been used in a few country music videos as well as the Movie "Our Town" and this one is sure to turn heads and tell some cool stories. Call today!
