Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1997 Ford RANGER recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. The problems are organized into groups with data published by vehicle, component, and specific issue. See also an updated list of 1997 Ford RANGER problems before buying a used car. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.

Additional Description: This 1997 FORD Ranger is one of the coolest rides we've had, because it is AFFORDABLE, FUN, and let's anyone enjoy the Car Show and Cruise scene without breaking the bank to do it! Finished just under 4k miles ago at the end of 2016, this locally owned and built Ranger is a ONE OWNER TITLE truck that has been completely rebuilt and turned into a great driving, cool looking, and reliable Street Machine. A brand new Blueprint 302 Ford Hot Rod V8 engine was ordered from Speedway Motors, along with a brand new C4 Automatic transmission. Power goes to the 8.8 inch Ford rear with 3.53 gears and a new 3rd member via a balanced driveshaft, and the whole thing was done the right way with documentation of all parts and work performed, including custom fabbed mounts. It starts, idles, and runs fantastic, and the throaty burble from the exhaust lets everyone know it isn't your Grandpa's Ranger! Snick the new B&M ratchet shift into gear, and the truck is ready to roll! Ice Cold A/C, functional heat and defrost, and all the factory goodies like tilt, power windows, power locks, and AM-FM CD are all included too, along with custom fit bucket seats and a hand-made center console with cup holders and storage cubby. In back, a hard tonneau with lock and key keeps things safe, while a bed liner keeps things clean! Dual exhaust tips sneak out the back, and a full array of gauges help you monitor vitals from inside the cab. Steel wheels are painted to match, and fit with retro trim rings and caps for a vintage look. The custom PPG blue and pearl silver finish is incredibly nice, and only shows a few light blemishes from actually being driven and enjoyed! The truck is one of the coolest toys you could ask for in this price range, and will turn heads at any Car Show or Cruise just because it is so unusual. Easy financing plans available, and inexpensive to insure too! If you are tired of just looking at the cars at local shows, buy this truck and start being a PART of them!
