The current owner has owned the car for the past 3 years and bought it from a private party in Missouri. The transmission was rebuilt less than 300 miles ago. The car remains in overall highly original condition. The paint shows some age but is very solid and presentable. The doors shut tight like a vault with no sagging. The interior is well preserved and in very clean condition. The seats still have the vintage plastic seat coverings on them. Highlights include AM radio, owners manual, service manual, spare tire, large trunk area, power brakes and power steering, new chrome wheels with Firestone tires. This car has room for the whole family and is ready to go for the next owner.

Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1964 Oldsmobile JETSTAR 88 recalls can be found in this database.
