Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1992 Mercedes-Benz 500-CLASS recalls can be found in this database. Additional Description: Luxury Motorcars is proud to offer an excellent example of a true Classic - a beautiful 1992 Mercedes-Benz 500E. Regarded as one of the greatest modern midsize luxury sedans the W124 is widely considered to be one of the most legendary vehicles to ever come out of Mercedes-Benz. Between 1991 and 1994 Mercedes imported just over 1500 500Es to the United States and this particular example is one of the cleanest and most well documented ones that is currently available for sale. Finished in a beautiful Beryllgruen Metallic Green over Tan Leather interior this 500E is truly something to behold in person and has been kept in true investment-grade condition throughout its life. Called the "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing" by the press the performance figures of the day yielded impressive results. The 500E features a 5.0L V8 churning out over 325HP and 354LB torque which propelled the car to 60 in just under 5.5 seconds. The legendary status of the 500E was first cemented during the very beginning of its life during its inception. It was co-developed in close relation with Porsche - and during development each 500E would take trips back and forth between the Mercedes' plant in Sindelfingen and Porsche's Rossle-Bau plant in Zuffenhausen just to complete assembly. For all of the incredible engineering and technology that was poured into the 500E we are pleased to say that our example comes with pages upon pages of service records and documentation dating back all the way to 2003 that highlight just how well it has been taken care of throughout the years by its owner including a fresh service as recent as June of 2020 that included: Spark Plugs Ignition Wires Valve Cover Gasket Camshaft Seal Engine Mounts as well as an Ignition Control Unit just to name a few - totaling out to over $8300. A minor detail which even further highlights the care that this car has received by its previous owner can be shown in the fantastic condition of the interior down to the fact that the original Mercedes AC still blows ice cold. As an added bonus there is also a packet of many original reviews by journalists from the original release from the early 1990s which go into even more tremendous detail of just how phenomenal of a car the 500E is. While sport sedans of today are continuing to evolve and do a fantastic job of encapsulating luxury and performance their very roots can be traced back to the 500E basically being the car that was the archetype of all the modern German V8 sedans from the big three. While we certainly will be sad to see it go we know that it will be a very welcome addition to the collector or enthusiast alike!Visit Luxury Motorcars online at www.luxmotorcars.com to see more pictures of this vehicle.
